Thursday's Beech removal. Steve Walker climbed, I ran the ropes, Tom and Pete chipped and logged up.

Last few days, staying at the former Vanderbilt residence Paris side of Normandy.

Davy got to test his throwline cannon out on a few 45m+ plane trees.

Took these today, Saturday morning before leaving as the weather has been too foul for any decent tree work shots.

Still need a climber here in Brittany for a few weeks if anyone is free.

Horrendous day. Managed to acquire 6 1/2 hours of delays during the day. Had a one day window to get this done. To be honest I think in hindsight a crane would of been the best option but hey ho. TM turned up nearly 2hrs late then took an eternity to pull there thumb out.

The place is open 7 days a week and I needed the entire car park to work.

 

We're getting charged for half a day instead of a full because of it. But still I wasn't impressed, normally we do our own TM but this needed to be monitored during works.

 

Just an example of other people not worrying about other peoples tasks/time constraints.

 

On the plus side I had southern fried chicken and chips! Not had them for years!
