Not to turn this into a pollarding debate but it was our decision to reduce and thin. I prefer it aesthetically and I think it's better for the tree.

A slightly frustrating end to the year.

 

Carried out an enforcement for the local council. Reduce height by 1/3 only to get the enforcement officer agree to get us to knock another 20ft off to make it a 2/3 reduction. Anyway, a lot of stress and some headless chicken moments we managed to get it done today.

Yeah all done on an hourly rate so I wasn't out of pocket. Just annoyed that id wasted a ton of time before reducing them. Also annoyed that I had to go to work today.
