Crown lighting and dismantling some mature pines above an elevated walk way in a park

Getting the yard ready for winter today and clearing the scrub from the woodland next door ready to burn up.

 

I dug a 6" trench for the woodchip to hopefully stop it spreading out. Then put as much woodchip as possible to fill it up and compact it down.

A change of job title for next 2 days and a welcome change from chasing after lawn mowers and swinging around like a chimp .

 

Digging footings for one of my builders that i look after ,only do about 6 a year ,a wrap round extension and two grab wagons of muck to shift .

Ah the times we have tried to put chip down to drive on, never works especially when its wet, van ends up ploughing 2 furrows

That's why I've dug a trench in the hope it won't spread out as much. Time will tell. Worst case is I'll take it up and buy some crushed from next door.

Just standard finger teeth, Got generator and diamond disc so sharpen on site.

I smashed this old building & wall down when we moved house, got 18 van loads. That went down and managed to get scalpings from council @ £3 a ton to go on top :
