The underpricing thread.

Always seemed to be conifers I underpriced - after they've been topped a few times they seem to contain so much material and hard to judge exactly how much there is to shift on a big un.... never lost money but broke even a few times....

The strange thing about conifers, is the fact the owners just think the are a fluffy hedge and because it cost £3 to plant it's never going to cost £2000 to remove?? is it :crying:

There is more to a conifer than meets the eye, count every stem, and work out a multiplier for the brash.

I don't do them, I overprice and walk away :laugh1:

Usually when I'm in a rush and want to be elsewhere rather than pricing.

Thats always the case! Too busy rushing around and not consentrating on what I'm doing.

Stuffed up an a macro removal on once, priced it for a day, ended up taking two. The customer offered to pay the differance but to me a quote is a quote.

You win some you loose some.

I have often underpriced large broad leaf dismantles. Did one last autumn. Beech with phone lines on steep garden. Priced four men two easy days. Took three brutal days👎

Do you use guess work? or is pricing based on diameters, boughs and twigs?

Why do you even bother going to look at them?
