A friend of mine is selling his series 1967 2a with a 200 tdi engine fitted. He's bought a later diesel but the engine is rough and it's getting a 300 tdi fitted soon along with a full hard top. I got volunteered to rewire the old one and he' used my welder on it when his wouldn't reach (mine's more portable)

Or, you could go to Tibus engineering in Germany & buy a set of bolt-on portal hubs for your defender.....http://www.killeraxles.com/bop_landrover_e.html

Can't tow much with an Evoque. The portal hubs can be fitted in a day without taking the axles of the Defender....

Why would you want to tow something behind you when going flat out x-country?

 

Caravan mate, seen em do it on Top Gear last week, the only real way to drag one of those chicken sheds.......
