Can't help with the door but an underseal product is normall good. Spray if you have a compressor and gun, if not then its the brush on stuff. Underseal is a good product IMO.

 

do you know if series 3 doors fit the defender????:thumbup1:

just got in to the old girl to price a job...just makes me smile (agricultural):thumbup1:

For what it's worth, I think series 3 doors will fit a defender. You could fit series 3 doors to a 90/110, and you can fit defender doors to a 90/110, therefore the series 3 doors should fit a defender. I might be wrong on this, but I think they're interchangeable.

Yes and no, they fit but they will probably have the wrong hinges, and series doors will be just as rotten as defender ones.

I have series doors one my 1990 127 and my mate has them on his 1996 90, they are a straight swap if you use early 90/110 door handles (not older series ones). I brought good bottom halves from a mate for £40 and brand new tops for £100, so with new hinges and stainless screws alround quite a major change cost me less than £200:thumbup1:
