Doing as asked in regards to contacting

When a new thread is created on here by someone looking for an employee/freelancer/general dogsbody and they ask YOU to contact THEM via PM or email then maybe that's something YOU should do.

For example :-

"I'm looking for a freelance climber for a few days a week as I'm starting to get busier and need help with the workload. Please PM me you're contact details and experience and your day rate or send me your CV to [email protected], thank you"

This means exactly what it says on the tin so don't (if you really want the work) then reply in the thread by saying

"Hi, my name is Rob, give me a bell on 07777 111111 I'm free anytime"

It's easy enough to do as the OP asked and you have more chance of getting a job rather than missing out.

There, rant over:biggrin:

TBH Rob if you are offering a full time job then yes, I can understand it. For a few freelance days however I can see why some people might be a little laissez-faire.

I mean most firms would say "come along for a day and let's see what your like"

Cvs don't count for much really do they?

That was just an example I used, I'm really meaning to point out that it should be the postee that contacts the poster (thread starter), not the other easy round

It's just lazy, and I for one would not contact anyone who expected me to contact them when I've asked for them to contact me:biggrin:

It's called politeness and is in short supply with youngsters- they don't realise they are doing it- obviously haven't been taught by their parents properly.

Their loss- give the job to an older more polite person.

Goes with texting that they slept in etc.

I won't have it:thumbdown:
