I didn't feel convinced about the clipping on the top part where the rungs had only caps on the end. Can imagine someone in mast fab shop. "It'll b right, no ones going to climb t' top just tack em on, lets go for a beer!"

It's not as though elf n safety are going to climb up and investigate is it?

This did make me chuckle.

I can imagine it on a Friday at 4.30, and they welder runs out of gas or wire is getting low. Just tack weld them it will be fine, if someone climbs to the top of this they need there head checking anyway.:lol:

There is a big mast near me and they used a helo to get a cap on it before, also seen them use a basket and pulley to get near the top then cling the rest of the way.

Sorry but why where they all up there? I'd be worried about those bolts for the last 60foot imagine if one was a bit rusty and gave way when he was clipped to it. Arran's has the right idea I think I'd learn to base jump probably safer than climbing down.

That makes me feel something of a massive fairy.... and tremendously queasy... 'CLIP ON FFS, CLIP ON!!!!' I'm practically hyperventilating just watching it!!!
