Anyone else feeling the phone isnt ringing as much as usual at the moment?

 

We had a great start to the year and the best February in 10 years!

 

But since 2-3 weeks ago its just gone dead

Yep for the first time in two years, i have not had any new work come in the over the last month.

I can relate to that, back in feb i pretty much had the whole of march/april booked up, just doesn't seem to be coming in at the same rate. keep telling myself its going to pick up soon...

Much better this year than last, my last two VAT quarters have be 50% up the previous 5.

I think it depends on your clientele. Corporate, H/A Local Authorities... may have been booking in a lot of work as it was spend up time in the years financials.

 

The rain doesn't help.

 

This time of year is generally slow. I think the increase in work due to budget spends at the end of the last financial year makes the drop this month more exaggerated.

im normally quiete this time of year, nesting season , so i get time to split log's and sort out gear for the next season , but this year im busy with my new string to my bow stock fencing , not easy stuff drive up do a field edge , but on wet ground and through dense woodland stuff people dont like doing .
