One reason I use Aspen

Spoke to my local dealer yesterday about getting a full pallet of it delivered directly but he recond with the discount I get I'd not save anything apart from the convenience of not having to pick any up but as I get 9 or12 at a time and normaly pass the dealer at least once a fortnight that's not a problem.

Converted 2 of my subbies now and got a regular client onto the blue cans for his classic bikes.

Only just seen your post Mr Graygit. If you are getting 10% discount from the RRP of £18.98 inc vat per 5litre can, then you will not save anything by buying a pallet.

I have to admit, we only offer our customers 5% on the quantities you mention, but give 10% and free delivery on a pallet of 54 (highlands and islands excepted)

You could have a mixed pallet of red and blue and make a bob or two reselling some of it to you motorcycle client.

Cheers garden kit, that's good to know. Think I get a good discount as I'm there biggest consumer and have sent quite a lot of new customers there way. Think I'll stick to how we do it now as normally time a restock with getting anything ells we need.

Happy to put in a good word with aspen for kieth at Sam turners, always very helpful!

hi aspen users/ dealers can you point me in the direction of the data on the health benefits/ compared to the regular 2 stroke?

thanks carl

Carlos, if you mix it 50/50 with petrol you can achieve half the health benefits at a little more that half the price. Could be a good compromise, if the price of straight aspen is too high....Combine that deal with a modern strato engine and your talking 1/6 of the health hazards of old style 2-stroke usage.

Or use it straight but only in situations where you will not have adequate air flow, like under dense bushes on a still day. Where there is a breeze, there's no point as the fumes will be carried away anyway and you might as well use regular petrol. I used to empty the saws at days end and run a bit of aspen through them to keep the carbs and lines in good nick but don't bother anymore....
