Concrete Barriers fro securing cord wood

Any one know on the forum where I may be able to buy USED concrete barriers a metre long .Need 20 to block of 30mtr wide gap to stop someone stealing my cord wood.I think heavy RSJ 'S may get taken for scrap same applies to metal gates.Wooden fence they will cut through with chainsaw, baled bundles of tyres,they will just cut the band's. Oh what a sad state of affairs.

Yep ditch and a bund, not impossible to get over, but enough to slow em down a bit.

I purchased my concrete bog mats from Wolfenden concrete near Barnoldswick in Lancs. They sometime have reject stock or cancelled orders going cheap so worth a check every so often. 45 gallon drums with a bar through 2/3 way up filled with concrete are simple but effective. Can still move with tractor hydraulics on the bar.

I just use the larger butts that have metal in and cut to the length the telehandler will lift?

have you tried signs saying- dogs/cameras/security patrols- this sometime works

Ibc units filled with rubble, cheap to buy and easy to move with tractor /telehandler etc. used locally to shut off access to a busy forestry site.

Any quarries nearby big rocks are quite good.

Speak to your local batching plant, they often get refused or unwanted loads that they need to be rid of. You can often get several cube for next to nowt.

 

Make a timber mould and away you go.
