never seen them breed so early here but worrying about the lack of them here - last year I saw swifts before  swallows, and they’re normally a few weeks later.

Obviously a localised thing as stubby and several others have them where they are(we’re in Chelmsford)

Caught this little one in my hand to help it from the greenhouse a few days ago.

The same greenhouse that sadly killed an adult male GS Woodpecker the next day when it flew into the end.

Wifey's ordered some clear stickers that are invisible to us but not birds apparently; something to do with uv light transmission.  Anyone know anything about them?

Goldcrests are such small and very cute birds. Can never get a decent photo of them though. One of a number of birds I would like to photograph. The young ones seem prone to banging into windows, we had one the other week that knocked itself out, recovered though after a few minutes and flew off.

Be worth getting him/her to a rescue center to get it rehomed, I think tawny owls are quite good at adopting young ones.

Today’s news they have all flown the nest!

It's busy in the nest box at the moment. These are blue tits.

 

They make parenting a human baby look easy. Theyre in and out every other minute poking food in those gaping little mouths.
