Hammered down last night here too, dry this morning but everywhere is soaking. Puddles in the fields.

Heavy squally showers all day and it’s freezing, summer has turned very abruptly in to winter with no obvious autumn.

Forecast was wet wet wet for today. Had traffic lights booked for the job, so had to do it. Thought we were getting off lightly till about 2pm. Ended the day climbing a large Hawthorn overhanging a fence, with lots of Ivy in it. Really heavy rain, can't remember the last time I felt rain running down the inside of my chainsaw trousers. 💩

Bright and sunny today but the place is soaking, and its only 4 degrees.

After 11 days of beautiful weather, we're back to full on autumn. A little over 40mm of rain in the past 2 and a half days, and it's coming down very heavily as we speak.

 

My site was about an inch deep in water this evening. Everywhere 😲

Pissed all day here yesterday, but very mild, then a wonderful glorious sunny day today, and plumb awful tonight with rain driven on a cold biting wind.

So much for the advertised full moon and meteor shower!

Correction - 40mm in the last 24 hours according to the rain gauge. 70mm in the last 2.5 days.
