The higher parts of Dartmoor had a decent amount of snow. Sadly at the weekend, everyone wants to see it but there is simply not enough room if everyone parks on the road. Mountain biked offroad from home to avoid adding to the chaos. Pretty hard going and plenty of walking was involved.

Spot on Alex. That first section of the path has some good drifts on it.

Just been out with the dog through West Dean and Cowdray  woods and there is 3 or 4 inches of snow still laying on the tracks .

Thought so. I first got that route out of an old MBR magazine which picks up the old line out of Princetown and skirts above burrator. Used to head out of plymouth up the valley way and link in that loop. Haven’t seen one of those Marin’s in a longtime.

I was a bit put out when a rep at a demo commented on my "retro bike". Kind of like the fact it's retro now. Do you still ride?

Tell her you'll put another log in the stove

And if it gets colder, you'll light it!

Ever since the snow came, she’s been staring at the window quite a lot...

If it gets any colder I may let her in!!

???

Matt how you doing up top? Think the carnage didn’t reach Princetown

Going slushy now- the snow that is. Heavy rain forecast tonight so that should see the end of it. More people up here today than yesterday, you can’t blame them but those photos going around yesterday make headless chickens look smart!?

Had more alerts flash up today asking people not to go up and all roads were closed, think we have rain now most of the week. Back to what we know

I had arranged a camping night out in the woods with an old friend from Nottingham a few months back. Wasn’t going to let minus 6 stop us. I had to defrost the water before I could make a brew this morning and my piss in the bottle was frozen solid. I thought the freezing point of alcohol was minus 110 not minus 6
