I think there is a fair chance Germany will go back to the Marc, they are not prepared to allow hyper inflation, they've had that before and won't go there again.

I think one option would be if Germany and France left the Euro, it could then be devalued, saving the other countries.

If that happens no one will buy German goods as they won't be able to afford it.

Germany will work exceedingly hard to keep the Eurozone viable IMO.

The Euro is and always has been unpopular in Germany with the working Class.Firstly their savings got bashed in the change over and now they see them selves as the Horse thats dragging the Crippled Euro Cart.

Greece is just another victim in the struggle for global domination by America / Britain and the chosen few . Mark my words America will be falling out with China next .

We were never going to drop the Pound for the Euro . We are all doomed anyway . Have a nice weekend :001_smile: That is unless your working like me

There is no point or future for any individual country to leave the euro. It would destroy that country's economy as well as the rest of the euro-countries'. Failure of the euro is simply not an option.

I work in euro-land through the summer sometimes, shearing sheep. Two years ago my pound would buy me a little over 1.5 euro's. Last time I bought some (month or so ago) I got 1.1 euro-dollars for my pound.

Who's currency is failing?

we need to spread our wings again and break free of the Eurozone and all its red-tape and corruption. We should never have turned out backs on the Commonwealth and joined the 'European Market' in the first place. The sooner we disengage from this un-democratic, doomed Socialist experiment the better!.

A democracy is not where the rulers do everything the people want though, nor is it a system where everything that needs deciding needs to be put to a national vote/referendum.

It is a system where the elected rulers try to decide and do what they deem to be best for the country and it's inhabitants.

You voted for these rulers.

Err no, only a fairly small percentage voted for them.
