Just got back. Apparently I have to go 9-5 tomorrow for the property office... Also officer isn't available to speak to me. If I can convince the duty inspector they are work tools I can have them back.

Get down the police station,or phone them up & get the facts from their perspective,dont blow your top or get shirty,you want your work tools back,& 'unreasonable aproach' wont help you achieve that.

I can understand your frustration,but keep the end goal in mind or you will likely get messed about.

Aye, unfortunately it is. A mate of mine got pulled for having a 'bladed instrument' in a 'public place'- Felco's in his glove box...

Your brother should not have access to this type of kit unless he is trained to use it, young lads have been known to do silly things
