What's on your bench today?

Got a 2002 ms440 recently. Not been run for a few years so it had a few issues. Crank seal on the clutch side was gone. Replaced that, & still not playing. So I stripped it down & found that the piston rings were glued solidly to the piston. A petrol bath will hopefully sort that out this evening.

Oh, I had another accident with the Dremel this afternoon  the pot & piston were begging for it :thumbup1:

A newish (or not much use anyway) 346xp.

Needs a new case :(

Bugger that Ed, I remember you buying it, the cases should really be fitted as a pair! Are you looking at doing the work yourself? Just done the same saw for someone else that had done similar!

Went to start my ms251 this morning and the pull start was turning but not engaging, turned out the e clip had disappeared off the end of the shaft allowing it to wear the little black bit that engages with pull start, found one in the tool box for a 029, same size but deeper and slightly longer peg, took about 20 mins with hacksaw, file and emery paper to adjust is to the right size, up and running again now ☺

Well it's been over 20 years since my 394XP's received any serious TLC.

Despite being exposed to the weather most of it's life, chained down in the back of my tool truck, it has fewer hours on it by far than my other midrange saws, 365's, 372's n such.

But the muffler bracket gave up the ghost!

Good thing the beast has a decomp valve!

I'm fairly certain it's circa 95.

Time for a new muffler assembly, and starting handle!
