What's makes them stand out from the rest of the Spikes out there apart from them being blue?

 

And sorry to say the last few stein items i've had have gone back to the dealer very poor quality

 

I just don't buy Stein Stuff any longer,it might be cheap but thats all it is in my experience.

 

Two Climbing Bags Broke.

Saw Strops Elastic Breaks in the Cold.

Rope Bag Came apart.

Throw line Bag was a disaster.

Throw Bag Exploded on impact.

 

With that kind of quality I am not prepared to trust my Arteries and Tendons to a Pair of Chainsaw Trousers made by folks that can't get a Bag built right.Its a Bag.A Bag.

Not had any troubles with my stein rope bag and hot had any troubles with the stein helmets either . to put it into perspectus i recently (6 months ago) bought a husky bag at the same time as the stein rope bag , my husky kit bag that stays in the truck is in bits - the zipps broke , the material beside the zip tore , th wood base snapped and the sandles came un stitched . On the other hand my rope bag that gets slung about on most jobs and is constantly wet at the moment is fine and still just as good as the day i bought it . SO if husky cant get a bag right then why do we buy chainsaw trousers from them ???? My point is that every firm has to start somewhere , lets be honest stein is the new kid on the block at the moment

I like the look of these spikes, some of my stein stuff has also started to break like my throwcube, but if its made to the same standards as the rigging bollards etc and not the products which often seem in my opinion a rebranding of another product. Then i think they would be a good product and i think the fact it comes with a bag and gaff gaurds is good value for money.

You might be surprised by the chainsaw trousers Mike...I actually think they are pretty good.

 

In reference to some of the other negative comments people have posted...this certainly hasn't been my experience with the range of their products ive tried.

 

I've heard people often complain about the throwline bags breaking...yet ive had 3 falteimer bags and they have all broken and they are probably about twice the price of the stein version. They are a fantastic innovation for storing throwlines but they are never going to be the most robust piece of kit on the market

Oh yeah, these spikes look great, they feel light and the pads appear sensible. I like the idea of velcro leg straps and leather foot straps. Unfortunately none of this is much good if after a month the rings have worn right through the shanks.

It even states in the info. not to etch them as it reduces strength. Well mine are now well and truly etched with a unique i.d. code.

I have not yet contacted the supplier, hectic day today. I will make a post when I hear what they say.

Fair enough.They are however still made by people who do not seemingly have "build quality" first and foremost in their business plan.
