Nice one on the rescue Larry.

Ask Karen if she could contact the local paper and get them to run a story on it (include a pic of yourself in your harness stroking a pussy).

The good PR and free advertising would be worth more than the invoice.

Good luck mate!

This is outrageous!

firstly to all cat owners, who you going to call NEXT time? cos WE wont be coming out on the basis of this kind of attitude!

secondly, I would have had to ask the caller who the invoice should be adressed to, that much i thought would be common sense.

I did the last one local for free, because im like that, but this stinks, the owner of the cat in my case was so thankfull i couldnt want a fee

Hi Lads,

Well, the story so far. Smdge the cat is fine, Fed, dried out and back on terra ferma!!

I have spoken to Karen, the lovely RSPCA lady, and we have agreed I'll get the cost of my fuel for miles travelled.

Just this once I've done this because I'm a good egg.

Next time I will charge and expalin this. As it was a random call, I was a little shocked and gob smacked at the request.

Im now also registered on the RSPCA animal at height rescue call out sheet!! Brilliant!!!

I will get free advertising, Karen and the Fire Service want a story on the local paper. They couldnt believe I made the climb in the pouring rain. I did expalin thats it the way tree work rolls and you have to get on with it, Karen said I was being modest!!! So why not, I thought, enjoy the status!!

Hearts and minds is a massive advert too!!!

Apparently the owner was very pleased, but was in shock so forgot to say thankyou!! There we are.

And Karen and I are hitting the ale tonight!!! Pub, live band, good times!!

All the best lads.

Phil "Larry" Lamb.

Brightside Trees.

Hants.
