If that converted rifle could talk.

I landed on the beaches you know, took out lots of Nazis and then got dragged around Europe. Then some bugger reamed me out and shoots pigeons and stabs the occasional mouse, how I yearn for my glory days 😉.

Nice Alex, but what’s with the ‘Hello Sailor!’ sling?

Intentionally forces branch agnostic. My brief googling suggested that the army and air force were supplied with them white to dye them their chosen colour (green or blue respectively). I don’t necessarily believe that but it aligns symbolically with my general disdain for state property ownership, the notion that it has never suffered the indignity of sovereign service. I was considering dying mine yellow with turmeric but it turned up painted rather than bleached canvas so not sure it’d take. Plus in white I can more easily see which log stack I’ve left it against.

Single shot and 2 1/2" cartridges? A section 1 would be fun although I don't need another 410....

You can get 2 in the mag but they spaff out everywhere. One in the mag feeds well.
Using two and a halfs, mainly because it’s never occurred to look any further towards the back of the safe. Not looked at the proof marks. Even if I’ve got some three inchers, I won’t bother. It’s not a serious shooter.

That's a beauty of a Lee Enfield! Looks to be in fantastic condition, how old is it? Does the bayonet get much use?

Says 1946 on the receiver. Shame it’s not a 1947 model, like dad, who I bought it for. Took the bayonet off. Kept getting caught in something.
