Businesses need profit If cord wood goes up 25% you need to add 7% to your price. Fuel has gone up Saws have gone up european machinery has gone through the roof thanks to the exchange rate. There are plenty of lemmings cutting up firewood for nothing Lets not follow them over that cliff. I have people around me selling firewood for less than I can buy cord.

It is for me.

When they ring up after the price rise with an order, you tell them the new price and "unfortunately its due to increase in overheads"

If they dont like it the go elsewhere.

I dont lose sleep over it.

I would be interested to hear everyones opinion on how a cube of dryish ash compares to oil or gas in volume and equal calorific value. Oil and gas prices are rising considerably - how long will it be before the £60 worth of logs is worth £60 worth of gas or oil?

Mine have gone uo £10 a cube as from Jan the first.

why have u gone up £10 from January, u must have processed and seasoned ur logs pre Jan vat increase, so ur only increase will be extra vat on ur diesel bill
