Businesses need profit If cord wood goes up 25% you need to add 7% to your price. Fuel has gone up Saws have gone up european machinery has gone through the roof thanks to the exchange rate. There are plenty of lemmings cutting up firewood for nothing Lets not follow them over that cliff. I have people around me selling firewood for less than I can buy cord.

I would be interested to hear everyones opinion on how a cube of dryish ash compares to oil or gas in volume and equal calorific value. Oil and gas prices are rising considerably - how long will it be before the £60 worth of logs is worth £60 worth of gas or oil?
