Insurance nonsense and cs units.

have found trust spot on TBH especially when it goes wrong, had a car nicked & got a cheque for more than i expected within a couple of weeks. That said i'm qualified so wouldn't have a problem with sending my NPTC's in & whoever you go with if u havent got 38&39 on site when it goes wrong they'll be taking u 2 the cleaners who-ever insures you!

I have made claims on my insurance and never been asked for tickets.

 

People are always slagging off insurance Co's and saying they never payout, but I don't know of anyone this has happened too.

 

As for tickets, IME the only people who get excited about them are those who make good money out of selling people the training and those who have paid out good money to get them.

It is wrong that some insurers do not ask for certification where as some do, regardless of experience

 

I have met some very good experienced and long term woodsmen and arborists in my time,

also some bad ones

its not just for insurance, if it realy goes tits up its preparing for a court case in my opinion,

How about 41 and 34, and up to date LOLER,

under PUWER you should have refresher training every 5 years.

Lets face it, most insurance companies see the general public as a cash cow. They are not interested in anything more than taking a percentage of your hard-earned money, whether home insurance, personal accident cover, or professional cover. They take our money and invest it to make themselves fat off our efforts, the last thing they wish to do is give any back, and the premiums charged reflect this.

One company that I have come across openly slates its competition, totally unprofessional IMO, and for this reason alone I would have no dealings with them.

FTR the company I'm with never asked for any certification, but when offered it they reduced my premiums upon receipt.

I went with trust because they had herd of CS units, and If they bought my price down because I have them good.

A bit like a no claims bonus I guess, only a fully qualified discount.

So withoout 41 and 34 no one is professional???

 

And if you havent refreshed your tickets your no professional I cant remeber who said it but on another thread about refreshing why should proffesionals be made to retake a BASIC course? Its an insult.

 

Theres plenty of blokes around who havent got lolerd kit who still do a professional job It maybe best practice but not best practice doesnt make you any less of a proffesional
