stihl no-spill oil spouts

Use both spouts for a few years now, wouldnt be with out them to be honest, the husky ones are crap and stick all the time. love the stihl ones.

Not that I can help just wondering which is the best one to buy as I could do with a new one and the husky and oregon aint very good.

 

Top one is the better one I find.

The auto petrol spout on my Stihl can is a pain in the arse and makes me want for a Husky one again - WHY? Because whilst the spring needs to be strong there is too much plastic on plastic friction (tightness) in the spout so that it won't open and I have to practically sit on the upended canister when filling the saw to get it open and flowing!

 

So true. Mine were fine then after a year or so they start to do that. I prefer the Husky ones. The STIHL ones are better being clear but i just like the husky ones.

But don't you find that the fuel sprays out of the CHAINSAW:001_smile: fuel tank with the petrol quik fil caps- It was always happening with us- were we doing something wrong. I'm talking about the ones where u press them down into the tank and the fuel automatically jets out.

Hope i haven't hijacked your thread but it's closely related.

 

If it sprays out it might be where the vapour builds up and it is only released when you press down on the spout to get fuel out. We normally depress ours for a few seconds just to let the pressure drop. But i can fault either the fuel or oil spout. No leaks, No spills, No problems.

I'll give them another try as i did think it was a good idea at the time.

they are good but ive bust a couple (through my own fault) and they are not cheap. last time i broke one i was just left with the inside black bit from the auto spout at work and needed to stop spilling oil whilst fuelling up we randomly found that one of those little black rubbery end cap protective covers from the stihl combi system slid over it a treat and its been like that ever since.

I use the second of those cans, with a both quickfill tops. I can't fault either...

Re: upending the can...surely that's the point? So the spouts stop pouring when it's full?

I'm the same and have been since buying my saw...

 

I've only used different once or twice and would never change from these...

I've got the clear stihl combi can fitted with both the anti spill nozzles, best thing since sliced bread

 

The only thing is, some petrol station cashiers don't like the clear cans and won't turn on the pump
