Hope you gave a speedy recovery. :001_smile:

Out of interest, were you wearing chainsaw trousers? I ask because besides obviously something going terribly wrong and if you were do you believe that they have contributed to your injuries in making them worse vs. what a pair normal light weigh trousers, jogging bottoms etc would under the same circumstance?

I ask because I firmly believe chainsaw trousers increase the risk of you being pulled under/in machines with spinning parts if they are inadvertently snagged vs. normal light weigh trousers, jogging bottoms etc which don’t have multiple layers with fibres between designed to be griped by teeth and cause clogging of a saw.

Dave, all the best for a good recovery.

I would say stay positive, but I can see there's no need!

Only found out last night, been up north. The most powerful computer at my folks house is the clock on the cooker.

I believe Masterblaster was caught by a stump grinder once, on his calf? Remember seeing some gory pic, not as bad as yours sounds, mind, but he may have some advice.

Hope any future ops go ok.

Beer up somewhere when you get out.

All the best mate.

Hearing about your situation has made me alot more careful when people are working close to the the stumpy, so i thank you for posting. Hearing things like this does impact peoples sometimes stubborn way of thinking and i believe your situation will make alot of people here think twice an be a bit more safer so thank you again. As with all keep positive its the only way through a tough time.
