Making the video actually came about over a normal week, while making the Lowering device videos took considerably longer as I had to wait for the particular jobs that would give me the footage I was looking for.

 

The difference being that we are dragging and carrying every day at some point, but not every tree needs to be lowered down. Consider also that I work with plently throw-back-Neanderthal types who like nothing better to show you how strong they are….but when one commented “this job just doesn’t need all of us here now”, that was good enough for for me! Thanks again

As a Neanderthal knuckle-dragging throw back, I love this idea:thumbup1: The labour-saving side of it is just one thing, the other is the wear and tear on the body trying to drag out brash or carry out larger timber. Instead of the crew reaching total exhaustion, they will be fitter/less tired for the following day, thus even more productive, jobs will speed up, thus more money pouring into the bank:biggrin: Another well-thought out idea, and a great addition to the Stein stable, cant wait to see what you invent next Reg

I've experimented with wheelbarrows and sack barrows over the years, but they have never ticked all the boxes like this does.

Excellent Reg, coupled up with a crane or hi-ab on your truck to lift the big lumps in once they're streetside that could be a real time and back saver.
