Big beech fell from the other week used the 880 with a 36bar just to make sure it would reach out the other side as next saw down had 20bar. Side profile pic shows the piece that was felled out

60ft sycamore. 34" dbh and 60% hinge was fresh air. Leaning in direction of fell slightly so came over nice!

Rob, in that situation you could have gone much deeper with the gob than usually recommended and got into good wood for the hinge.

 

Dont be afraid of going off the text book if the individual tree requires it.

 

Main thing is is went where you wanted it though, so nice one.
