Arbtalk is proud to announce the launch of its latest site addition, The Tree Fungi Directory

This has been in development for the past several months and thanks to the outstanding efforts of David Humphries, now contains most of the common fungi that we deal with day to day, along with a few additions. The Fungi Directory is a work in progress and we hope to build on the current content substantially over the coming months and years.

The homepage contains a slideshow of the images within the galleries and has an a-z listing as well as a specific search menu for parasitic, saprophytic, and mycorrhyzal fungi types. Users can also search the name of any tree species to instantly bring up any fungi associated with them. Each individual gallery contains multiple images of the fungi in various states as well as information relating to the fungi and its relevance.

Arbtalk members are free to comment on the individual images/galleries, and also submit their own images via e-mail.

Special thanks also to the sponsors Treelife and Income Protect, and also further thanks to Tony Sorensen and Tony Croft for their involvement.

We hope you enjoy browsing our new galleries, and as ever value your feedback.
