Insurance, NFU. what a joke.

After reading a thread on here i decided to contact NFU for a quote for my public and employers liability insurance. i met a guy who went through all my details, got the information he needed and said he would be in touch. that was 3 months ago. If i treated prospective customers in this way i would go out of business. its a joke, how do these companys get away with treating people like this?.

generaly the NFU gets a lot of good rep, so maybe you got the guy on his last day and didnt give a monkies!

this will probably sound a bit daft but i've seen the service from the nfu these days isnt like it used to be when it was just 'farmers' or other rural types. its all about targets these days isnt it so they get these people (generally youngsters) in who dont really give a monkeys about people and rural issues and then things like this happen. its unfortunate what youve experienced there.

I think i will be sticking with trust, ive been with em for 6 years, they might be more expensive but the service is excellent. cheapest isnt allways best.

Im with NFU for truck, plant and house insurance, had great service and prices from them.

suppose i should say that i have all my gear and vehicles with them and the old man has the farm and all his gear with them too so theyre not all that bad! we're just old school thats all and deal with old school representatives. stick to who you feel safest/most confident with.

its simple , give trust a call , i bet you they will have your insurance sorted within the day if you call first thing .

I tried changing to NFU at the beginning of the year:

 

1) My local office would not insure me, as a new customer, for climbing full time, only as a gardener doing the odd fruit tree, so no good to me

 

2) Tried Steve Blairs contact from another thread about NFU, and she said I had to use my local office.

 

3) Gave up, and stayed with Trust for now.
