Grew up with our old Staffy and Dad had Her put down as She'd been unwell for a while, me and Him both knew It was the right thing to do but still upset us both alot.. I loved that Dog to pieces!

I've never been at the vets while a Dog's getting put down but I Dug the hole, lifted from the Car and buried 2 of our old Shooting Labs.. Broke my heart!

I was so distraught I left buff in car overnight that dark day, i pulled myself together and dug his spot in the garden, like you say, it is at that moment that it all comes home.

But as hard and sad, as gut wrenching as those times are, there are so many thousand days of utter hillarity and companionship, and going through it all over again fills me with joy rather than fear.

this new apprentice will be the third in a line of great four legged friends, im rather looking forward to finding my new apprentice.

But, heres Ty, poor old boys 6 years old and been there a LONG time, hes probably only got a couple of years in him, and i hate to think he will spend them in a dog home.

Hes a mastiff, bit big for me but christ he needs a home so bad.

Whilst at jonsies show I saw a dog like no other, a cross between a Rotty and an american bull, a sort of BIG blonde rotty, this thing was a beast but soft as muck.

If anyone sees a similar in a rescue scenario or knows an owner who cant handle thiers! PM thats one hell of a dag, and right up my street.

I know the one you mean, cracking looking hound, the missus fell for it straight away and she doesnt like Rotties (prefers Dobbies!)

Glad youre finally getting over Buffs death, remember the good times.

Weve got three dogs of varying ages, the oldest is 10 1/2 now and it will break my heart the day he goes to the great big Shoot in the sky.
