Sorry to hear about the dog Tony, we had the same with the terrier back in december.....had her 16 years, but had to make the decision after suspected liver failure.....

 

Im sorry tommer, its a hard thing to do but it is as my boss said the last kindness we can give them, and it is a kindness, even if it feels like far from it for a while.

 

Im still asking myself if i did the right thing, even knowing full well I did right by him, it takes a lot of heart to do it.

The dog that will love you the most SWB is the one that needs you the most to start with, i dont care about breed, but love terriers all the same, they all have BIG personalities, funny really the smaller the terrier the more it over compensates with character!

 

My ex got a Rotty pup while we was together, molly, she had the sweetest nature.

 

Im thinking maybe two dogs next time, tony's little wolf pack!

yeah, i felt sorry for my first dog so got it a liitle friend( fox terrier) then after a few years, i got the border. They are kennel dogs, so they keep each other company and warm.

My heartfelt sympathies on your loss. I had to make the same bloody awful decision with one of mine in '08 when her kidneys packed up. I salute you for having the guts to do what was best for Buff.

know what your going through, its a while back that we had to have our old english bull terrier put down, but she had bad heart and was only getting worse - mum still has her little shrine of pics and ashes! - whatever gets you through i say, they mean so much there not just a dog, theyre your companion
