I think pétard is the French word for banger, firecracker. I remember the thrill of being able to buy them freely from le tabac on a French exchange at school.

Is AI inherently bad? Of course not. The question is: WHO controls it & for what purpose? Does anyone believe that the richest people on Earth are investing hundreds of billions in AI...

I think one the problems with AI is its some times in accurate . The strawberry thing ...The clue is in the name . Artificial .

I called HMRC about a tax refund on my private pension lump sum.

Yes, I am that old and it feels rather strange too.

I was on the phone for 52 minutes in all.

The lass dealing with me was quite pleasant and helpful so when she offered to sign me up to the HMRC A.I voice recognition service I declined because and I told her, I value the human contact at the end of the phone.

Now, without resorting to A I, can someone please i.d this twig ?

Medium size street tree here in Liffré

Unfortunately the commune has blown the leaves away so no clues there.

I was thinking a variety of elm.
