the New Zealanders are commiting just as much crime as the other incomers, but they are better at it, so dont get caught

Votes are for plebs. Let anyone in. How long they stay can be dictated by who will let them a room, sell them food or employ them. No dole, no public property to camp on (perhaps keep the intertidal/littoral zone as common property so they have a rock to sit on waiting for the ferry). The proportion who want them will be the proportion who get them. Can’t get fairer.

I was actually responsible for the single court ordered fine. My fishing net was 40cm too shallow at one end.

Which is a bit of a sore point as the voluntary fisheries ranger was observed dragging his nephews nets into deeper water before turning his attention to mine.

 

The " Court Odered Fines" go directly to the local police which incentivises them being issued. You can taken them to court but if found guilty will have to pay an extra 50% ontop of the fine plus all costs.

With cod it is even more bizarre.  The best cuts go abroad, the cheaper cuts stay in the UK.

I have seen for myself and on TV programmes the price of sea food in Europe and just cannot believe what they seem willing to pay !!  especially for stuff that has no market here (yet ) but they fished out their own stocks the Med in particular ...
