@Billhook think they  all came with them on sidecar,  we used to have Russian rallies on these  bikes in Lincolnshire, one guy Tony was an old engineer who helped the local German re enactment group with bits for their weapons, they asked him to rework a spandau of theirs ( blank firer) so it would auto fire not just single shot, whilst he was in workshop machining it out, coppers arrived! He got six months! Open prison  as he was very old lad, but the prosecution was 'it was in a stage that it could become a weapon again' 😮 K

This photo was taken by a trackside camera at a trotting race in Bordeaux in 1971.


A Fox terrier decided to join in the fun. Such a great photo, the dogs enjoyment and concentration, the horse casting a sideways glance at the dog, the sensation of speed you get.

 

The dog is the spit of Igor (I know dogs are bred to look similar etc)

Trotting picture is a cracker, is it still big in parts of France?

 

I used to go up to Norfolk to watch the trotting.

Seems to be, often on the telly and reported in the papers.

The pikeys used to trot race up the A27 until plod put a stop to it .
