Scorcher mate.been sat in the shade most the day doing nothing

Similar, been for some smoked trout and salmon for some salads for work next week, been to see my dad and thats bout it! Too hot to do owt work wise today! 🥵[emoji41] Aggs would of been painful in this heat, she’d of been pacing round not knowing how to deal with it bless her [emoji190]

Not good for the poor dogs this heat,not been letting Betty be too crazy in this,keeping her in the shade as much as we can,my old girl Tess would have hated it just like Aggs

Taken my spaniel out 3 times today . She is 99% black so soaks up the heat . She would run flat out to the next bit of shade and wait there for me to arrive then sprint on to the next bit and so on and so forth ...

Short walks for Igor is the order of the day.

Got to protect him from himself.

 

He hates the water so won’t get in a stream or pond to cool off like Charlie the cocker.

Had to set up a fan for the pups, getting a bit warm for them, poor mama is flat out in the shade most of the day! They enjoyed a splash of cool goats milk at lunchtime and a bit of chicken broth from the fridge too.

Its cooled down nicely now, all looking more comfortable, mama included.

Had Katie out all day today, with a checkup in the morning at the vets (her heart murmur is improving and generally she's in good shape).

I strayed across a nice river swimming spot on the recommendation of a friend on my way home this afternoon. Obviously, she had to come in for a swim too

Had little Betty a year today,she’s had a bit of a rough ride for her first 12mths but hopefully thats all behind her now
