So @Reg Coates seems to have broken ties with Stein and hooked up (no pun intended) with Notch, bringing out a new grapple hook. It's a similar concept to the captain hook, but folds up and sits neater on the harness whilst being used.

Looks a handy wee yoke all right, I had a quick search for any chatter about them on here last night, and lo! This thread appears this morning.

If I ever wear out my epple hook I’d buy it, the gape on the captain isn’t big enough for a lot of branches , especially if your doing a transfer across at right angles I want a bigger anchor than 4” ! 
only thing I may not be keen on is the soft link connection for rolling it off branches .. I would have to try it to see if it warrants concern though.
