Weird.

At least you can laugh about it.

Well sometimes humour can be used to make a serious point. My own mother is affected by it and my views on him are not a secret. So no not weird at all. What’s weird is the silence of some about it.

I am sure my time should have been spent splitting wood rather than trawling through fifteen pages of discontent.  I have not seen one answer to Squaredy’s question!

I am very much for the Australian voting system where you are fined if you do not vote but there is a box which reads “None of the Above” or NOTA

Surely this is the message not only of this thread but also the petition to call another election now at nearly three million signatures.   There was a petition in 2019 for NOTA which only received six thousand signatures

PETITION.PARLIAMENT.UK

I urge the UK Government to permanently adopt "None of the above" on all ballots starting with...

The main point is that if you make a pledge and are elected on that pledge, if you break it there must be some punishment.  Otherwise I could start the Pork Pie party and promise everyone a million pounds, become elected and then say sorry there is a big black hole

Probably because a lot of people have you set on Ignore.

Lest we forget the petition to overturn Brexit received 6 million signatures.

Actually, no.

Sadly, turkey's like Peds voted for Christmas. So let the world go to ruin and eventually they'll consign student politics to the dumpster fire as they don't like to remember labour before tony.

Most of us are just sitting back hoping the Donald will restore some sense of normality and common sense, preferably before we all freeze to death or return to Starmers 5 year production quota's.

🤷‍♂️ Now now peds, me old covid conspiracy lies sparring partner. Don’t use me as the excuse for the bitter truth of what labour is all about, or in some cases a total lack of self control and discipline.

~But 17 million people voted for it as opposed to 9.7 million who voted for this Labour government, and this was heavily influenced by a massive propaganda campaign which had it not been in place I am sure over 20 million would have voted to leave.  So 6 million to 17 million is roughly a third, and 3 million to 9.7 million is also roughly a third.  So the 6 million was nowhere near the 17 million, but it will be very interesting if the petition gains 10 million votes!

To answer Squaredy’s question. “ Does anybody still like Labour?”

Yes like like the fact that they have made sure that there will never be another Labour government in my lifetime!”

Well today Reform party membership has overtaken the Conservative Party.  Nigel’s star is rising.  And like it or lump it the two main political parties have no-one to blame but themselves.  If either the Conservatives or Labour had done a good job over recent times Reform would be nothing.

I personally think we will have a new government within a year or two.  I can’t see Starmer and Reeves surviving another budget.
