Only way for that to work would be to declare it a ‘pool car’. Kept overnight at the premises and any member of staff can take it for work. 
 

You can run as you are until 2029 I think. Simplest option next time round is to lease you a single cab. No benefit in kind tax on this as you can’t take the family out in it. Hopefully manufacturers will start offering better levels of trim in single cab models now.

Or wait for this shower to get put out and hope it gets reversed as previously happened. Talk about deliberately hitting  a vibrant sector of the automotive market too.

I was told in the past, by HMRC, that as I technically work from home, it would be easy for me to give up the private mileage even if I used the truck to go to the shops! That is called 'inconsequential mileage' and not worth getting het up about. Driving to see the old folk in Devon or a day at the coast 8s private mileage that has to be paid for!

At the end of the day, my accountant always says- Anything is fine until you get investigated. And then you have to justify it. 
 

If I were your boss I’d by buying you a single cab next time. You don’t need a double cab to deliver chippers, so it’s easier to play it straight.

Yes... interesting a very small amount of private miliage is allowed didn't realise that.  But commuting to an office for example is private miliage, not business?  Presume going to site from home is business miles however, not private?

Not sure how it works for sure! Stopping at Tesco was okay on the way home, but trip to seaside wasn't! Check with your accountant?
