What is your work? I'm sure you've mentioned something about it before but only that it isn't arb.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think you need to have a serious think about all this - everything you've said screams alarm bells for me.   You are way too small scale for processing firewood and if you do go down the route of commercial tenants they will hate the noise and mess. You don't say where about's this is but in most places the economy is so dire that take up of small commercial spaces has ground to a halt. Try to only spend money on buildings when you have a tenant in mind.  Cut down on all that spending and spend your weekends with your family

If the grounds relatively easy to get the timber off you could sell parcels of standing timber , depending where you are and the grade of it I would say that would be your best bet… ideally this would be done in one go though and not 10 years !

Local place is £195 a month for a 20ft container.

 

Latest local craze is dog exercise paddocks.

At the moment office stuff, but the numbers above are the sort of values they play with on their projects (I'm sure the last 'job' I mentioned was Monday nights in the club doing something odd)

If it's a dry site and close to a town or village, you might be able to do a glamping/wedding kinda deal.

 

Speak to a few planners and they'll be able to point you in the right direction. It's a few grand a month for a couple of days work/sacrifice of the solitude.
