Right or wrong

Hi All

Looking for advise on this.

i was on a site clearance yesterday of a new build and had to fell some large trees, 7 in total all. Anyway that beside the point. 
I took this job on as a favour to a friend of mine doing it for cost price. As it’s his daughter that building the house..

As the day went on all the farther in law rocked up with a saw.. (just a saw) and started cutting away. I did ask him to stop and move out of way a few times. 
but then enough was enough when he stated using my equipment and nearly tagged  one of the lad with the saw as he was moving moving a log. Now I did have a go at my own lad  first but he said the other chap didn’t see me. He just ran the saw through the truck. 36” bar. 

This is where I lost my cool with the farther in-law. 
 

Do I eat humble pie and apologise 

or

Do I stick to my guns. I feel I should stick strong. As he shouldn’t have gotten involved in the job and defo not of been using my equipment. 
 

what everyone opinion on this. 
or did any ever have this happening. Thank

You were asked to do the job and they stuck their nose in as stubby said walk away. These self builds people look to cut corners all the time its not worth the hassle trust me.

Once I remember some ****************ing farmer touched my saw, he still limping after that .Before any work I instruct every one do not come to me or my colleagues without my permission and never touch my tools or kit ,it is safety reasons,if rule broken I pack my items and walk away, did that only once. NEVER HAVE A BUSINESS WITH RELATIVES OR FRENDS END OF STORY!

I did tell him to f-off that the thing. Asked him twice to move away third time I lost it.

 

This is what made me loose the plot as you can see from the photo 

 

and yes they are a pair of Chelsea  boots he wearing  using a 661 with a 36” bar

& If he had that  equipment  what did he  borrow?
