Iseki 2160 restoration

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if it's classed as large machinery but I'll try here🙂

I bought Iseki 2160 to use for tree/yard work.  Unfortunately front wheels have been badly neglected and need few parts to get it right.

Does anyone know good source of oarts for these machines? I need cogs, seals, bearings.

Are parts from 2160 interchangeable with other brands? I have Kubota dealer near me.

 Thanks for any input 👍

Oil seals and bearings, just need to measure them up most bearing suppliers should be able to get them or try simply bearings on the web.

I've struggled to get parts for old isekis before. Newer ones were easy but the one I wanted bits for was 90s vintage and the dealership couldn't get the OEM parts.

With the bits you require there. Bearings and seals can be measured and picked up from a supplier. If you're not confident with that take them into your dealership and a good parts desk worker should be able to sort you out.

Your bevel gears might be a generic gear especially if iseki buy their axels in. If you can't get them a small machine shop would most likely be able make them up.

Ford/New Holland rebadged some of the small Iseki tractors, if you can find the equivalent model number you may have more luck with parts at a Ford/New Holland dealer.

Afaik ford/nh rebranded Shibuara tractors. Massey sold some badge engineered Iseki compacts for a while.

Unless there was a on older agreement between Ford/Iseki?

Yes, some of the iseki compacts were badged up as Massey.

Possibly, bought a 1220 from Wessex tractors many moons ago, they said it was a rebadged Iseki. Either way it will pay to find out if its a model that was rebadged, spares will be more straight forward.

Presumably it's the 4 wheel drive front axle, best seeing if there are any casting numbers in the main housing, that's probably leaked and worn the reduction ratio or was that the wheel planetary?.

Makes the parts search a bit easier, post a few pictures of them and we'll no doubt be able to point you in the right directions.
