I was meaning it more as a midline loop for pulling, but I’m sure everyone knew that.

Could you find me a pic of your idea of a truckers hitch?

The truckers hitch I know of is more of a mechanical advantage system for securing loads.

I was told it's a handbag.

I was taught that to, back in the 90s.  Not very macho though.

Clearly knot Nomenclature has become more sophisticated in the intervening years.

Here it is, you can use the loop where my finger is for pulling, and there’s zero tightening.

Its just using the loop part, not using the tail to tighten it.

Not sure if clear, if not I’ll post a vid.

A donkey’s dick was more like this:

….and was generally used briefly by new climbers to carry a lanyard about the canopy with the dual advantages of getting caught on every fork and stub, whist being inconveniently cumbersome to uncoil when needed.

I’ve always called the knot where you make a little bunch then throw it over the branch and the knot unravels so you can grab it a Monkeys  paw or Turks head.

But looking on google they seem to be decorative knots.

Anyone know the knot I’m talking about?

Monkey's fist. You can have it loose so it unravels or tuck the last bit back through the rest to keep it locked together so it stays as a fist after you've thrown it.

Excellent hitch, when I was shown it it seemed like witchcraft.
