Aldi special with their flat iron steaks. Flat iron (feather blade/oyster blade) used to be the butchers secret treat. First time I’ve seen it advertised as such in a supermarket.

The three beers cost more than your create of wine which sucks. I don't think that you can buy a bottle of wine over hear for less than £5.Those are some crazy low prices you have over there!

Tbh, this particular wine is rank.

But you could pay double here for something very passable and still be less than half the price of the equivalent ’outre manche’

We where out rock pooling with the kids today so no kitchen stove on. I had to juggle onion rings, tripe cooked chips, garlic fried mushrooms, fried tomatoes and my life would not be worth living if the steak was not medium rare with a nice caramelisation on the crust, all on a single ring induction hob and an air fryer. 
 

I was not going for finesse to get the second bottle out. 😁

Back in Blighty to see the old folks, first rain I’ve seen in six weeks, I don’t miss that at all but a well kept barrel of Harvey’s Best Bitter and a pub lunch is hard to beat.
