Neighbour of clients complaining about resin on car

Finished a 2 day job removing and grinding a large spruce from a clients garden. On completion the neighbours across the road complained about resin on their car. Looks like dust has blown from the chipper and its rained settling on the paint work, we're going to pay to get it cleaned to keep everyone happy, but has this happened to anyone else? We're usually pretty careful and our tipper has a box on the back.IMG-20230718-WA0012.thumb.jpg.d8ae9b9e7b4c5f9c2c3112c01fb2d0ec.jpgIMG-20230718-WA0011.thumb.jpg.cb0f89fa1b91c613edca302348e07ff2.jpgIMG-20230718-WA0010.thumb.jpg.1fc93ecf4fd1b78e26eacfc28b263597.jpg

Doesn't look bad from the photos. We use tractor chipper and trailer so there's usually a cloud of mess around us but only had one complaint from a neighbour. I offered to blow the dust off the car but I was banned from going near it and no more was said. More often I've warned neighbours about clothes on the washing line which seems to be good for PR.

Seems this year more folk are moaning about leaves in the street etc....something in the air!

Yes had this before, many times about sawdust but only once about resin. The guy was obviously deeply in love with his car, and the mess was barely visible. I offered to clean it but he wouldn't let me touch it, ther was a vague threat about sending me the bill for a professional clean. But we had asked him to move it in the morning and he wouldn't so he was warned there might be an unavoidable mess.

Never heard from him again.

It's pretty decent of you to take responsibility and sort out the car cleaning for the neighbors. I'm sure they'll appreciate the gesture.

Thanks man, tbh id be pissed if it was my car, plus its cheaper to pay for the car cleaning than get a 1 star review on google.
