Alanis Morrisette too, it was the last concert I went to

I said there was probably some I’d forgotten about at that gig, reading Anno’s post just reminded that The Who were at Hyde Park Corner, I’d probably forgotten about them being there because they were bloody awful, that’s coming from a then mod.

Yes I had forgotten too, I was disappointed as Dylan could only whisper, oddly of the oldies McCartney was the well performed set, we had to start away when Clapton was on, I wish I had left my wife listening and gone home with the other girl we were with.

Now you have got me thinking, Jools Holland and his band, can’t remember their name, played a good set.

I have seen Squeeze on two occasions, once at Crystal Palace and then at The Stables at Wavendon. They were fantastic and great entertainers, even leading the audience to the bar during the break still playing.

Best one I have been to was when The Pinkies played Writtle Ag college in Essex. Thoroughly enjoyed that one, don't really know why but alcohol level hitting that sweet spot probably played a big part. Being aware of just how feckin brilliant it was to be young free and single was also a major factor, often wish \i could go back there again. Being old, expensive and shacked up is quite nice too of course. :)

Hastings Pier Pavilion was my local venue in the late 70s; saw The Stranglers twice, The Clash, Steve Gibbons Band, Eddie and the Hot Rods and many others forgotten

Some how I must have scrolled by this!, I don’t do jealously, if I did this would be somewhere close to the start. I didn’t get to see any of those.
