this afternoons job, got bored so thought i would make a start on this job, but was getting on so well i got it finished with the help of my HUGE mate, i got them out myself and 1 planted but i needed the big man to shift the trees with me, they were growing in gravel and rubble and then planted in a a gravel drain so we had to scrounge some crappy soil and build up around them, hopefully they will take, the customer is putting on a extension so they were just going to get removed, so i thought i would give it a bash. I have moved these before and they take well, fingers crossed:001_rolleyes:

I did that once and they all died on me.... but regenerated. They are freeking heavy and that root ball goes down about 3'. Oh how we laughed.

thats not me in the red boiler suit, thats BIG EL, my huge mate, what 4 guys struggle with, he manages no bother, they weighed a ton, the root balls were like 3 foot carrots.

Thanks for the support Deano:sneaky2:, lol. each of them are sunk into their own hole but we had to mound about 12 barrow loads of earth either side to hold them in place, they are sheltered behind the house so fingers crossed, i just charged the guy for cheap labour with no guarantee they would grow, but i am pretty confident:blushing:
