Shed will be a definite no from most councils, shelter feasible tho.

 

I'm sure it's 13 acres for 28 day permitted development, any less and it's the full planning process.

 

Permitted development also includes a 5 year don't use it for another purpose or we can force it's removal.

 

Councils & locals aren't stupid, the we bought a few acres thing, then goes we want a shed, then we want a house.

 

Then the shed turns into a garage and it's all on the market for 500k+.

Why did you buy a 4 acre paddock and decide you want sheep but have no clue about sheep?

 

Just seems abit odd.

 

 

Get a  butcher  to do home slaughter and stick em in the  freezer & eat them?

 

Otherwise whats the point-  pets I suppose?

Goats will escape unless the fencing is very good.

I think people are looking at the fact sheep love to escape the wrong way. If it's anything like here just leave your gate open and within a few days your field will be full of someone else's sheep. Or cows.

 

On a more serious note is there a small holders association near you? Our county has one and they run courses on sheep keeping, boat keeping etc and have wanted and sales.

It's easy to keep a boat. You just have to build a house to keep it in. Probably easier than keeping sheep if anything

If goats escape you will find they have climbed up somewhere stupid  on the the roof of the car or house roof etc. 🙂
