I dont agree. Its a nice steady income for the common man who lives a somewhat frugal lifestyle but pennies if you're used to living a middle to upper class lifestyle.

Maybe change the law, so that MPs get to choose a supplier, shame we've not got MFI or that really awful stuff Argos/Index sold back in the 80/90s.

 

Might make them a little more grateful.

They get an allowance per year as it's a state apartment or however you describe it, can't have Mrs Merkel or Macron dossing it in a student style flat could we 🙂.

 

I bet Ted heath, Thatcher, Gordon & major spent around fifty quid between them on paint in the whole time they were there.

It's quite a lot too isn't it, about £30k? Must be trashed and need it after al the parties!!
