Took the engine off my processor the other day (Honda GX 390) . The engine is connected to the hydraulic pump via this. The black rubber part has perished and fell apart in my hands. Not sure what to Google to get a spare.  Thanks

Weird, I was just researching these things last week. My splitter ram wouldn't activate, and some googling suggested a broken spider coupling. But then it worked again, so...

 

Is it a sacrificial shear part then? Rubber would make me think it's supposed to work like a duel flywheel.

Yes, as per Stubby’s abbreviation in his earlier reply “cush drive” meaning cushion drive, dampens the forces when torque/drive are applied.
