I have noticed that their is a crack in the oil tank on my Stihl 362C chainsaw, which is allowing oil to leak out the tank. Have any of you successfully used one of the so say "liquid metal" type glues , to repair a crack in a chainsaw chain  oil oil tank , if so please can you tell me the name of the product you used, thankyou.

Another +1 for the fibreglass  resin for both fuel tank (plastic) and oil reservoir (alloy).  I am still using a 200t that I ‘fixed’ in 2009.

I think I used the basic ‘plastic padding’ packs that you could pick up at Halfords!

Repaired a 540xp oil tank with chemical metal, worked well. Just have to get it extremely clean first and should be fine.

+ on that comment. No matter what type of glue/chemical metal is being used. It won't work well if the area is not cleaned properly. Empty the oil tank and clean the crack with brake cleaner.
